Limed for the Truth

California governor Ahnold Schwarzenegger just vetoed a bill that would have abolished private insurance and implemented a single-payer system in California. This is a tiny bit of good news for those opposed to socialized medicine, but ultimately it won’t much matter. The worrisome thing is that such a bill was able to pass at all, and it’s only a matter of time before the state manages to pair a sufficiently liberal governor with its liberal legislature in order to abolish private insurance in California one and for all.
